Father Olson was born in Portland, Oregon and is the fourth of nine children. After his family moved to Edmonds, Washington, Father Olson attended Holy Rosary Parish School and graduated from Edmonds High School. He entered Saint Thomas seminary in the fall of 1975 and transferred to the University of Idaho in 1977, graduating from there with a degree in philosophy in 1979. After completing his Masters of Divinity at the Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C., Father Olson was ordained at Saint James Cathedral in Seattle, Washington in June of 1983.
He served as Associate at Saint Alphonsus in Seattle, Saint Luke in Shoreline and Sacred Heart Parish in Bellevue. He was then appointed Pastor of Saint Rose de Viterbo in Longview, Washington where he served for seven years. Father Olson was appointed Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Vancouver, Washington in 1996 which was his last assignment before coming to Saint Mary Magdalen Parish/Saint John Mission as pastor in 2008. He enjoys creating and collecting religious art, gardening and working with wood.

Fr. Patrick Sherrard was born in Seattle in 1985 and raised in Kent. He graduated from Kentlake High School in 2003 and attended Western Washington University where he converted to the Catholic faith. After finsihsing his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in History he completed Secondary Education Certification at the Woodring School of Education. He then entered the seminary after completing a very short teaching tenure and was sent to the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC and eventually the University of St. Mary of the Lake seminary in Mundelein, Illinois. Upon completing a Masters in Divinity and a Bachelors in Sacred Theology, Fr. Patrick was ordained on June 25, 2016 by Archbishop J. Peter Sartain at St. James Cathedral in Seattle.
Fr. Patrick has a particular interest in Sacramental Theology and the Johannine Scriptures. He is also a lifelong Seattle sports fan and has a strong interest in sports media and culture. Fr. Patrick is an avid golfer and especially enjoys playing new courses in western Washington. He also studies film, American history as well as English and American Literature.
Fr. Patrick plays chess, backgammon and cribbage.

Deacon Dave was ordained in the Archdiocese of Seattle in 2003; married to Dora, they have a son David and a daughter Alexandria (Sandy) and seven grandchildren. Deacon Dave retired from a career in human services for local, state and federal government and holds Master's Degrees in Social Work and Pastoral Leadership. In addition to serving our parish as deacon, he volunteers for the American Red Cross and is also an author of children's picture books. Deacon Dave enjoys golf, long walks and writing. He and his wife have been parishioners of Saint Mary Magdalen since 1967 and they joined the parish staff in 2006 as co-directors of our parish Outreach Ministry.

Sr. Anna worked for 18 years in Vietnam as a Facilitator of the Word of God and Director of RCIA. She studied in Vietnam, Italy, England and finally completed her education in the U.S. at Gonzaga University, The Epiphany Academy in Pittsburgh and Seattle University. She came to the U.S. in 1997 and transferred to the Sisters of Providence. She became a U.S. Citizen in 2008. She served at St. James Parish in Vancouver, WA and St. Cecelia's on Bainbridge Island, WA. She has also worked with the Vietnamese Eucharist Youth Movement in Seattle and Everett. Since 2004, Sisters of Providence has had her return to Vietnam to teach 3rd year Sisters of Theology at the Inter-Congregational Dominican Institute of St. Thomas in Saigon.

Ron Enneking joined the St. Mary Magdalen staff in June 2014. He had prior careers in business and public accounting. Originally from Batesville, Indiana, Ron and his wife, Donna, have lived in Nashua, New Hampshire, and Carmel Valley, California, and most recently moved to Everett from Renton WA where they were members of St. Monica’s Parish, Mercer Island. Ron has been active in church activities throughout his life, growing up as an altar server at St. Louis Parish in Batesville, IN, attending St. Francis Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been a member of various Catholic school boards and parish councils.
Ron is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and has been a member of the Schola Men’s Choir at St. Monica’s. Ron has a BS-Accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington and an MBA from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. He plays guitar, sings, enjoys reading, sports, meals and wine with friends and family.

Dora has a Degree in Early Childhood Development and a Master Catechist Certification from Seattle University. She enjoyed a career in Human Service for local, state and federal government. She retired from the State of Washington as Community Resource Program Manager. She currently is on the Board of Directors for Providence Hospital. Dora enjoys gardening, reading, and travel. Dora and her husband Deacon David Alcorta have two children and seven grandchildren. They have been parishioners of St. Mary Magdalen Parish since 1967 and joined the parish staff as co-directors of our parish Outreach Ministry in 2006.

Robert was raised in Northwest Indiana just outside of Chicago. After graduating from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy, he studied Dogmatic Theology at both Sacred Heart Major Seminary and Holy Apostles College and Seminary. Robert is starting his 4th year of ministry at St. Mary Magdalen Parish and is thrilled to work with Adult Faith Formation which includes RCIA, Marriage Preparation, Infant Baptism Preparation, and Liturgy. In his recreational time, Robert enjoys running around Green lake, cooking with organic and whole foods, and visiting independent coffee shops. As of August 2016 Robert married Christina who he met at St. Mary Magdalen Parish.

Brian originally hails from the cornfields of southeastern Indiana, and has tarried in other parts of the contiguous U.S., among them St. Louis, Missouri; Chicago, Illinois; and Cromwell, Connecticut. Sundry pilgrimages have also whisked him across the Atlantic to Spain, Portugal, Poland, Lithuania, and Italy. After spending eight years and seven months discerning priestly and religious vocations in their contemplative and active forms, first with the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius (2004-2012), and then with the Clear Creek Benedictines (2015-2016), Brian ultimately decided upon a lay vocation in the service of God and the Church. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Theology, with an emphasis on Dogmatics, from Holy Apostles Seminary in 2014. Brian eagerly anticipates working with the families and youth of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, where he hopes to apply fruitfully the knowledge and experience gained from his previous formation and educational background. As a verbal maven, Brian amuses himself with reading and wordplay. He also enjoys hiking, racquetball, bowling, and billiards.

Frank has been on staff since 1998 and has one daughter. He is responsible for managing all parish property; the buildings and grounds. He has many interests including downhill skiing, boating, gardening, carpentry, and camping.

Music Director Joel Cummings has been in church music since childhood, singing in choirs at churches across the country from the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, MA to St. James Cathedral in Seattle. He has been a member of St. Mary Magdalen since 1998 and before becoming the Music Director, held the post of Associate Music Director for 5 years under his father Craig. Mr. Cummings is a classically trained vocalist with degrees from Pacific Lutheran University (B.M.) and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston (M.M.) He can currently be seen as a vocal soloist throughout the greater Seattle area. Outside of his musical endeavors,
Mr. Cummings holds an active Washington State Real Eastate Broker's License and serves the real estate needs of families throughout the Puget Sound area. He is very interested in nutrition and healthy living, helping others achieve their goals, and personal growth. Mr. Cummings lives in Snohomish, WA with his wife Jaclin and daughters Camryn and Darcy.

Brenda began working at Saint Mary Magdalen in 1989. She and her husband Tony have three daughters and five grandchildren. Brenda's primary responsibilities include serving as parish secretary, maintaining sacramental records, and scheduling facilities. Brenda enjoys photography, travel.

Mary and her husband Dave joined the parish in 1976. they have nine children and 22 grandchildren. Mary has worked at the parish office since 1993. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the processing of incoming donation, pledge drive mailings and processing of pledges, including setting up online donation. (this include Annual Catholic Appeal, Capital Campaign, and Stewardship of Treasure pledge drives.) She is also the Safe Environment Coordinator for the parish employees and volunteers. Mary enjoys reading, genealogy, rosary making, and interacting with her large extended families.

Barbara has served as a volunteer since the mid 1990's, and as an employee since 2002. In addition to her work, she enjoys being a preschool and 3rd grade catechist and a member of the parish's American Heritage Girls leadership. She and her husband, Andy, are parents to 6 daughters and 2 grandchildren. Barbara is a member of the Secular Order of the Discalced Carmelites, serving as Formation Director for her Carmelite community.
Rochelle attended Pacific Lutheran University, and Inland Massage Institute. Licensed in 2001 as a Massage Therapist, she worked as Lead Therapist and Trainer at Spa Paradiso in the Davenport Hotel, in Spokane. In 2007 her husband Mark became the Band Director at Cascade High School in Everett. They moved to the west side and she continued to work as a Therapist at Gene Juarez in Bellevue. After 14 years in that profession, Rochelle's love for volunteering at St. Mary Magdalen School, where her two daughter's attend, brought her to be the Parish Receptionist. She has also been the Wedding Coordinator for the parish since 2012.
