Altar servers assist the priest in the celebration of the Mass and other rites and rituals.  These individuals include candle bearers, altar servers, acolytes, crucifers, and thurifers.

Extraordinary Minister Of Holy Communion

Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion help distribute Holy Communion to the congregation during Mass and bring Holy Communion to homebound and sick parishioners, and those in nursing facilities.

Greeter

Greeters welcome parishioners at the doors of the church before each Mass. They are responsible for handing out materials as needed before Mass and answering questions for those who are visiting.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry provides music for a variety of liturgies and events. Several choirs rehearse and perform at St. Mary Magdalen along with instrumental groups and accompanists. Various concerts are held throughout the year as well.

Reader

Readers proclaim the first and second readings at Mass. They also may read the General Intercessions during Mass and the announcements at the conclusion of the Mass.

Sacristan

The sacristan carefully arranges the liturgical books, the vestments, and other things necessary in the celebration of Mass.

Usher

Ushers help to seat parishioners for Mass celebrations, assist people with special needs, help in the presentation of the gifts, assist with various collections and distribute bulletins after the conclusion of Mass.
