The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults  (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a journey of faith discovery and a systematic process of initiation into the Catholic Community of Faith. This is for persons who are seeking baptism in the Catholic Church or full communion with the Catholic Church through the Profession of Faith, and reception of the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation. It is a journey toward discovering God's presence in Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, in the teachings of His Church, all within the family community of Saint Mary Magdalen Parish/Saint John Mission.

If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or becoming a Catholic Christian, please call Christian Spencer at 425-353-1211 for more information.

What the Process looks like for those Un-Baptized

  • What the Process looks like for those Baptized

  • "The sharing in the divine nature given to men (and women) through the grace of Christ bears a certain likeness to the origin, development, and nourishing of natural life.  The faithful are born anew by Baptism, strengthened by the Sacrament of Confirmation, and receive in the Eucharist the food of eternal life.  By means of these Sacraments of Christian initiation, they thus receive in increasing measure the treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity."  (CCC, 1212)
